How to Apply This

  1. Overcome only “liking” something.
    Simply liking something isn’t enough motivation to pursue it because our liking only determines the pleasure we want from it.

  2. Try to desire it.
    Desire is what sparks your motivation. You have to like something actually to have the desire to achieve it, but they also have to work together.

  3. Be aware of your activated circuits.
    Do you feel enough motivation to achieve what you want? If not, it is only your pleasure circuit working. You have to come over only seeing the pleasure coming from the future achievement to activate your motivation circuit.

  4. Love the obstacles.
    When you face challenges along your way, it can strengthen the motivation to pursue what you want. But remember, they may cause a decrease in our liking.
