Instructions
- Write down all the habits that are making you less self-determined.
Perhaps you often make excuses, are indecisive, or keep forming opinions without facts. Be honest with yourself and write them down. - Write down all the habits that are making you more self-determined.
It could be taking responsibility for your life, making decisions quickly, practicing self-control, etc. Take time to reflect on your habits and be completely honest with yourself. - Reflect on your current level of self-determination.
How happy are you with your habits that impact the level of your self-determination? What habits would you want to change or nurture to become more self-determined? Write your answers down in your journal. - Practice!
Changing habits and ways of thinking takes time and dedication! Be patient with yourself as you reframe thoughts and habits. And, even if you are feeling self-determined and like you don’t need to change anything, you still must practice! Self-determination takes lifelong work and dedication. When you stop practicing, you risk losing your self-determination.
