Become a strategic thinker

Instructions

  1. Break the problem down into small, manageable chunks.
This will help you progress faster as you will know where to focus at a certain time.
  2. Ask the “why” before the “how” behind your choices.
Consider all of the reasons behind your choices. Allow yourself to be open to new ideas and opportunities.
  3. Ask insightful questions to find the real issues.
Challenge each of your assumptions. Even when you believe you have discovered the problem, gather more information. Ask yourself, "What else could possibly be the true problem?" You should also get rid of any personal agendas, as this may impair your judgment. When the real issues are addressed, the answers get clearer.
  4. Examine your resources.
Identify what resources are available to you. What's your timeline? How much is your budget? What supplies and other assets do you have? Who can affect the team?
  5. Develop a plan.
When solving any problem, it’s important to build on the basics. When you approach a problem or strategy in that manner, the team becomes more united. Simple ideas create mental drive and spark creativity and fervor. Building on the basics is the greatest method to provide the foundation for the complex ones.
  6. Make sure the right people are in the right positions.
Choose the perfect person for the job, put them in the proper place, and develop the right plan.
