Become more curious
Instructions
-
Ask yourself how curious you are
Think about how often you decide to learn something new and what you have gained from such pursuit of knowledge and truth. -
Keep a journal
Jot down your thoughts, reflections, questions, goals, and remarks. -
Make a list of the ten most important questions in your life
Once you’ve formulated them, it will be easier for you to find the right answers. -
Do the contemplation exercise to strengthen your curiosity
Write one question on a piece of paper, hang it on a wall in front of you, then sit down and contemplate the question. -
Do the stream of consciousness exercise to further strengthen your curiosity
Choose a question. Then, grab a piece of paper or your laptop and spend 10 minutes writing down everything that comes to mind when you think about this question. -
Think of a problem you can’t solve and reframe it
You’ll be able to see it from a different perspective, which might lead to a solution. For example, since water is precious and invaluable, Nomadic people often asked themselves “How do we get to water?” However, everything changed when the question was reframed thus: “How do we get water to us?” Such reframing led to the rise of agriculture.
