Conquer online content posting

Instructions

  1. Write short captions.
Too many people create long posts on Facebook or LinkedIn that nobody gets to read. Any time you write a social media post, you should keep it short to maximize engagement.

  2. Carefully map out your story by storyboarding.
Along with the post length, its structure is also important. Your stories should have a beginning, a middle part, and an ending. Following this structure will ensure that people remain engaged throughout their reading.

  3. Ask open-ended questions.
Facebook’s algorithm will penalize you for posting a call to action such as “watch this video” or “comment below,” so it would be better if you would use an open-ended question like “how does this picture make you feel?”. This will provide an opportunity for your readers to engage with your content without receiving any penalty.

  4. Ditch stock photography and replace it with real-life user-generated moments.
The internet is filled with blog posts that use stock photography. You won’t get people’s attention with generic photos; you need unique ones that stand out among the rest. You could get such photos from photographers directly or ask your employees to take photos and use that for your social media posts.
