Craft your life mission statement
Instructions
-
Identify what you hold dear in life
What is most important to you? Is it family? Is it friends? Write down whatever answers come to mind and feel how they resonate with you. -
Identify your core values
Write down the things that you stand for. For example, they could be honesty, authenticity, or benevolence. -
Identify the things that bring you joy
What makes your heart smile? For example, do you enjoy sharing your wisdom via a blog? Does your heart melt when people tell you how much impact you’ve had on their lives? Write down all the things that bring you genuine joy. -
Identify your most amazing traits
Even on your worst day, what makes you feel awesome? Write down the personality traits that still make you incredible, even during those times when you don’t feel like the best version of yourself. -
Identify what is worth fighting for
Look around you and consider any causes that would make you become aggressive and want to fight. What do you think you would make violence an exception for? For example, will you fight to defend someone being abused or rendered voiceless? -
Consider what people will say about you during your funeral
What do you want them to say when they’re lowering you into the ground? Write down the positive things that people would say and the impact you had on their lives. -
Reflect on what you’ve written down
Are you living in alignment with your life’s mission?
