Problem-solving

How to Apply This

  1. Ask ‘Why?’ every time you encounter a problem.
Continue asking ‘Why?’ until you get to the source of the problem.

  2. Find the worst-case scenario.
Think about a problem, and ask yourself, “What’s the worst thing that could happen?” This will help you recognize the underlying limiting belief. For instance, let’s say you mess up a word and cannot stop obsessing over this detail. After thinking about the worst consequences, you may realize what you actually fear is being disliked.

  3. Use a third-person perspective.
Ask yourself, “If my problem was someone else’s, what would I say to that person?”. Act like a friend to yourself, and give yourself genuine advice.
