Declutter your life
from Minimalism: Live a Meaningful Life by Joshua Fields Millburn, Ryan Nicodemus
How to Apply This
-
Find your anchors.
If you aren’t sure what your anchors are, simply observe your life for a few days and reflect on what exactly is holding you back. -
Classify them as ‘Major’ and ‘Minor’.
Major anchors include most influential factors on your growth such as debt, toxic relationships, or a job you dislike, while minor anchors are smaller details such as unused clothes, dusty work area, or waking up late. -
Get rid of your anchors, beginning with the Major anchors.
For example, begin paying off your debts, or get out of your toxic relationships. -
Make tiny changes to get rid of your Minor anchors.
For example, if you tend to wake up late, try to wake up 5 minutes earlier every day.
