Don’t ask the world for permission to become a leader.

By nature, people are conservative, and they protect the status quo. They don’t like change. They go to the same restaurants, they buy items from the same shops, and they watch the same TV stations. Leaders, in contrast, are people who initiate change. And this change is not accepted by most people.

That’s why you will not get others’ permission. You will not get approval from the system. Your job is to have faith and initiate the change.

1. Don’t seek approval from peers, bosses, or the system.
   Leaders, by definition, are people that initiate change. And this change is not welcome at the beginning.

2. Don’t be afraid of being the heretic.
   All leaders are some kind of heretics. They create their own religion.
