Embrace curiosity to develop creativity
Instructions
-
Actively seek out changes as opportunities for betterment
Self-improvement is a continuous process driven by change. Embrace it: take a different route to work, try out a new restaurant, go for a road trip, sign up for a guitar lesson, etc. -
Exceed expectations for the sake of personal improvement
Whenever you work on a task, focus on how you can make it better. Invest more effort into your work and as a side effect, you’ll grow more competent and capable. -
Regain control of your self-image
Self-doubt kills creativity. Follow your curiosity without judging yourself. -
Find your creativity sweet spot
Experiment with timings, locations, background music, and so on. Try working at a cafe, after a cold shower or a nap, and with a friend or two. When do you feel most “in the zone”? -
Change the question you’re asking to gain a new perspective
For example, instead of asking “What is the meaning of life?” try asking “What gives meaning to my life?”. Instead of asking “How can I achieve my goals?” try “Who should I become to achieve those goals?”
