Face your fears
from Dare to Lead by Brené Brown
How to Apply This
-
Ask yourself questions that will help you face your fears.
What is your purpose? What is it that you truly want? -
Find out your limitations.
Ask yourself, “What is holding me back from reaching my goals in life?” -
Move towards finding methods to cope with that fear.
Think about how you can overcome the challenges that are associated with those fears. -
Write permission slips to yourself.
Give yourself permission to be yourself via these slips. For example, you could write “Listen with passion”, “Ask for breaks”, etc. -
Keep the permission slips at your desk or at a place where you constantly see them.
Read the slips regularly to remind yourself of your intentions.
