Implement internal triggers to reach the flow state

Instructions

  1. Set goals accordingly.
Have a clear goal that is manageable and attainable.

  2. Break tasks into bite-size chunks.
If you’re a writer, aim to write three paragraphs at a time instead of attempting to write one great chapter. Break your goal into challenging yet manageable tasks–enough stimulation to get you into the now, but not too much to stress you out.

  3. Tighten feedback loops.
Perform daily reviews to monitor your progress and see necessary improvements.

  4. Find the 4% difficulty level of the task.
Our attention is most engaged when the difficulty of a task is directly related to our ability to perform it. When the task is too hard, fear takes over. If it's too easy, we easily lose focus. The challenge should be 4% greater than the skills to trigger flow.
