Incubate dreams to help you with issues in life
Instructions
-
When you are stuck or struggling in life, incubate your dreams to give you direction, clarity, or insight.
Consider them as an inner resource, like a helpful friend or advice from a mentor. -
Before you go to sleep, bring your issue to mind and ask for guidance from your dreams.
You could phrase this as a prayer, a request, or an intention—whatever feels most natural to you. -
The next morning, record your dream in as much detail as you can remember.
-
Take the time to reflect on and interpret the dream and see if it relates.
Notice the emotions, the characters, the storyline, and the symbolism of your dreams. If your dream was a novel or a TV show, what would it mean? What impression would it leave on you? -
If one night’s dream doesn’t seem to connect, or if you can’t recall your dreams after requesting them, try the next night again.
It may also take more than one day or night to analyze your dream and have your interpretation ‘click’—cultivate an attitude of patience and trust.
