Instructions

  1. Identify what’s on your mind using Capture mode
    Set a timer for 15 minutes. Sit down with a cup of your favorite beverage, a pen, and a notebook. Allow your mind to wander and write down whatever thoughts rise to your consciousness. This could be old friends you need to catch up with, unresolved work projects, house chores, or personal commitments you’ve been putting off.

  2. Brainstorm solutions using Problem-crunching mode
    Hold a problem loosely in your mind and allow your thoughts to wander around it. Turn it over and explore it from different angles. If your mind wanders away from the problem, gently bring it back. Do this for 30 – 60 minutes to solve whatever problem may be bothering you.

  3. Come up with great ideas using Habitual mode
    Pick a simple activity that you enjoy doing and then engage in that activity until your mind wanders. The simpler the activity the better, for example, taking a walk will produce better ideas than reading a book. Let your mind wander wherever it wants to, even if they are unproductive thoughts. Make sure you have a notepad with you to jot down your ideas.
