Make your habits work for you

Instructions

  1. List down the unhealthy habits that may hinder you from achieving your main goals.
Perhaps your goal is to be financially independent, but you have a habit of spending every penny you earn, or maybe you want to be physically fit, but you don’t exercise regularly. Whatever your habits are, write them down.
  2. List down the healthy habits that may help you achieve your goals.
For example, creating well-organized plans to achieve your goals, making decisions quickly, and leading by example.
  3. Evaluate your habits in a journal entry.
Are you happy with your habits? Which habits would you want to change because they’re not bringing you closer to your purpose? Which healthy habits would you want to maintain? What patterns do you see in your habits?
  4. Choose one unhealthy habit to focus on for one week.
Choose an unhealthy habit that you would like to change. Write down why you want to change this habit and how you plan to do so. Monitor your progress for a week, and then re-evaluate how you feel about breaking the habit: Do you want to keep changing that habit or move on to the next habit you wish to change/incorporate?
