Don’t follow the general rules of managing a business if you think you can do it better.
People will keep telling you that you need to follow the general rules of entrepreneurship. For example, you need an MBA, you need certificates, you need to know how to make financial plans, and so on. You don’t need all of this. There are plenty of companies that become successful simply by thinking differently.
Instructions
-
You don’t need a five-year business plan or a financial plan.
These plans are just guesses. Instead, be flexible and able to adjust to new opportunities. -
Don’t grow a giant company if it’s not necessary.
Staying small gives you more flexibility and is easier. Hiring more people will not always make your company better. -
Don’t be a workaholic.
It’s not about working longer hours, it’s about working smarter. “Workaholics aren’t heroes. The real hero is already home because she figured out a faster way to get things done.” -
Call yourself the starter, not an entrepreneur.
There are a bunch of people that don’t call themselves entrepreneurs. They do what they love on their own terms and get paid for it. Calling yourself a starter will help you put your ego aside and focus you on what really matters.
