Patiently listen to your conversation partner

If you have something in common with someone, wait patiently to reveal it.

Do it only when the other person is done talking and also mention how interested you were in hearing them.
That way you will emerge as a confident person, not a hungry stranger looking for a quick connection. Just don’t wait too long to reveal your shared interest or it will seem like you’re being tricky.
