Remind them of others’ feelings.
Blue personalities may need to be reminded that other people have feelings. When they discount everybody else and take a blinkered approach to problems, assuming that they are always right, it can cause tension. That’s why gently reminding them that other people have something to offer is very important.
Explain the importance of speed.
If you tell a Blue person to hurry up, they’ll ignore you and continue with their approach. To them, doing something right is far more important than doing it quickly. In situations with time pressure, like a project that needs to be completed at a certain date, you need to explain why they need to work faster. For example, tell them you will lose a very important client if you miss this project deadline.
Encourage gut decisions.
Sometimes, they can’t get all of the information they need, so they simply don’t make a decision. In these situations, let them know it’s alright to make a gut decision based on the information available.
