Set up a physical well-being program for yourself.
To be at your absolute best physically (i.e., fit and healthy) is truly the greatest gift that you can give yourself and the greatest investment of time that you will ever make. There is a saying that how we do something is how we do everything. When you have the discipline, will, strength, and mindset to create a body of vitality, health, and vigor, this will not only lead to increased energy to live your live fully, but it will also give you the discipline to achieve goals in other areas of your life.
Some final, powerful words from Covey are, “Probably the greatest benefit you will experience from exercising will be to increase your capacity for Habit 1—to be Proactive. As you act on the value of physical well-being rather than reacting to all the forces that keep you from exercising, your paradigm of yourself, your self-esteem, your self-confidence, and your integrity will be profoundly affected.”
Remember to check out any exercise program with your doctor to ensure safety in line with your overall health.
