Simplify your life
Instructions
-
Take inventory of your possessions.
This will help you identify what to declutter and what not to simplify your life. -
Declutter regularly.
You can do this monthly, annually, or seasonally by selling, giving, or donating what you don’t need—clear space in your home and your mind by living simply. -
Take joy in simple and meaningful pleasures rather than accumulating wealth or possessions endlessly.
Cherish and appreciate the things you have—friends and loved ones, good food and drink, the beauties of nature, the satisfaction of hard work. -
Reduce your time spent reading or viewing news that isn't immediately relevant to you.
Be willing not to know and not to care. Remember your obligations to yourself, your family, and your community (in that order). Everything beyond that is extra. -
Follow your own path, and don’t compare yourself to others.
Your life is yours to live, and your decisions are yours to make. Don’t let the opinions of others take up space in your mind. -
Learn to say ‘No’ to the things you don’t really want.
Stick to your true responsibilities and goals. You don’t have to take on more just because others want you to.
