Visualize your success before beginning an important task
Instructions
-
Sit down in a comfortable chair and relax your body.
Your mind is the most receptive to visualization when you are calm. -
Visualize positive pictures associated with the success of your next task.
For example, if you have to give a lecture, you could visualize yourself speaking on a stage. Make sure you focus on visualizing the process of completing the task and not its outcome. -
Involve as many senses as you can.
The more sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches you weave into your mental pictures, the more powerful the “pull” for you to make your vision a reality. -
Associate the images with strong, positive emotions.
For example, while visualizing yourself giving a lecture, involve your senses and combine it with emotions of confidence and pride.
